Well Rehabilitation & Repair
ALL WELLS eventually need maintenance. Well Destructions of old “out of use” water/oil wells – A water well has a service life that may be as little as twenty years or as long as one hundred plus years. When a water well reaches the end of its service life or a change in land use, the next step is well destruction. The goal is to destroy the well in a manner that protects the aquifer. Currently we clean the well to its original depth, grout from the bottom to 5’ below grade and then remove the top five feet of well casing/cement. Well destruction practices are changing with the need to provide greater aquifer protection. Groundwater is a precious resource that is easily contaminated and slowly restored.
